DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, patriotic society focused on community service through Education, Historic Preservation, and Patriotism.

In 2019, it was announced that one million (1,000,000) members have joined the DAR since its founding in 1890! Will you be next?

If you are a women of any race, ethnicity, creed, or religious affiliation who is at least 18 years old, and think you may have an ancestor who aided in the cause for American Independence, we would love to meet you! We have volunteers who are willing to work with you to research and complete your DAR application. Documentation will be required for each record of birth, marriage and death, as well as proof of Revolutionary War service (military or monetary) for your potential patriot ancestor. We are happy to provide you with resources and support as you begin your DAR journey!
